Stanislas Carré de Malberg's 'Les enchantés' was a film that offered several social and mental layers to think about. With brilliant performances, especially from little Luce, the film evokes lasting emotions, leading viewers to interpret it differently depending on their perspective. One scene from the film stuck in my mind and I captured this still life in my studio as an adapted photograph of the entire film: it depicts various tins of food, a tin with a detached label, accompanied by a notebook and pen, suggesting that someone was meticulously documenting the label text.
